What are the English course hours?
Tuesday to Friday, 2 hours a day (8 hours a week per level):
Beginner: 10:00 to 12:00
Intermediate: 13:00 to 15:00
Advanced: 15:00 to 17:00
What are the Chinese course hours?
Beginner level: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 12:00 (8 hours a week)
Intermediate level: Monday and Tuesday only, 13:00 to 15:00 (4 hours a week)
Advanced level: Wednesday and Thursday only, 13:00 to 15:00 (4 hours a week)

How many days per week are Thai ED Visa classes, and how long is each session?
Thai ED Visa group classes are 2 days per week. Each class is exactly 2 hours, for a total of 4 hours per week. The
regular timetable is fixed and does not vary by student availability.
Beginner level, with more than 1 session available to enrolled students at no additional charge:
Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 to 12:00
Monday and Wednesday, 13:00 to 15:00
Tuesday and Thursday, 13:00 to 15:00
Intermediate and advanced levels, which you can join whenever you feel ready:
Intermediate: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 to 12:00
Advanced: Monday and Wednesday, 13:00 to 15:00

What are the school's office hours?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Group classes follow a fixed weekly timetable, which is
different from office hours. See the current days, times and levels on our class schedule page.
Do you have a phone number or WhatsApp?

LINE, Telegram, WeChat, email or the chat on our website. We reply during business hours, Monday to Friday 10:00
to 17:00 Bangkok time. You can write in any language, but English gets the fastest and clearest answer.
Is there a trial lesson before I enroll?
There is no trial lesson, because we do not want to disrupt the students who are already studying. If a different trial
student joined every day, it would affect the class. Visits are by appointment only, after we review your passport and
entry stamps.
Can I visit the school before I enroll?
Yes, by appointment only, Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 17:00, after we review your passport and entry stamps. We
limit visits so that visitors do not distract students in class.
Are classes grouped by proficiency level, and is there a placement test?
Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes run concurrently at different times on the fixed weekly timetable. There is
no placement test. Students pay for the course duration, not for a particular level. Classes follow a book with
lessons 1 to 40, and the cycle repeats after lesson 40. You can join at the lesson being taught that week, including as
a beginner, and the teacher will help you follow along. During your enrolled period, you choose the level that suits you
and may attend available beginner, intermediate and advanced classes for your chosen language, and you may attend more
than 1 beginner group for extra practice at no additional charge. ED Visa students must genuinely study, and we advise
attending at least 80% of scheduled classes.
Do your levels match CEFR or HSK levels such as B2, C1 or HSK 4?
Our classes run at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. They are not mapped to CEFR or HSK levels, and we do not
offer exam preparation.
I'm a complete beginner. Can I join?
Yes, complete beginners are very welcome. You can join the beginner class for your language on the published schedule,

Is the long course suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. Complete beginners are very welcome on every package, including the longest ones. You choose the level that suits
you. Most beginners start in the beginner class and move up as they progress.
Can I change my class time or level after I start?
You cannot change the class times, because classes run on a fixed schedule. See the published class schedule at
https://bkklanguageschool.com/class-schedule/. During your enrolled period, you can attend the available classes for
your chosen language shown on the schedule.
Are the teachers native speakers?
Yes. Our courses are taught by native speaker teachers with experience teaching foreign students. Please contact the
school if you would like more information about the teacher for a specific course.
What language are the classes taught in?
All our classes, including Thai, Chinese and English, are taught in English.
Where are the teachers from?
Every teacher is a native speaker of the language they teach. Thai teachers are native Thai speakers, Chinese teachers
are native Chinese speakers and English teachers are native English speakers.
What qualifications do your teachers have?
Our courses are taught by native speaker teachers with experience teaching foreign students.
How many students are in a class?
Classes normally have 10 to 20 students.
How often do new classes start, and is there a waitlist if a level is full?
There is no fixed intake date. Classes follow a fixed weekly timetable, and students can join the lesson being taught in
any week once they have enrolled and paid, while the ED Visa is being processed. Lessons 1 to 40 cycle through the book
and then repeat. Teachers help new students follow along. Classes at different levels run concurrently, so there is no
intake and no waitlist.
Can I start classes before my ED Visa is issued?
Yes. You can start classes in any week after you enroll and pay, while your ED Visa is being processed.
Do you have places available right now?
Classes are already running, so there is no fixed intake to wait for. Think of it like joining a Muay Thai class that is
already in progress. You start when you are ready. We confirm your place when you enroll. Send us your passport photo
page and entry stamps, and we will confirm your route and start date.
What is the earliest start date?
You can start in any week once you have enrolled. Classes run continuously, like a Muay Thai class that is already in
progress, so you join the next class for your level on the published schedule at

Can you confirm my seat and start date before I pay?
We review your passport and eligibility before you pay. There is no fixed intake, so you do not need to reserve a seat
for a start date. Classes run continuously like a Muay Thai class, and you join in any week once you have enrolled and
paid the course fee.
What do I do on my first day of class?
Just come to the school at your class time on the published schedule: https://bkklanguageschool.com/class-schedule/. Our
admin team will help you get started.
Can I choose a custom schedule, an evening class, or private lessons?
Group classes follow the fixed weekly schedule. We cannot move a group class to a custom day or time. If you want to
study at night, there is an online beginner Thai group on Monday and Wednesday from 18:00 to 20:00. This is the
published evening group, not a custom night timetable. We do not offer regular weekend group classes.
If the group times do not work for you, ask about one-to-one availability. Thai one-to-one is a 40-hour package, booked
and paid upfront and taken in 2-hour sessions, at 1,400 THB per hour, totaling 56,000 THB paid upfront, with 8 months of
school ED Visa support included. English one-to-one is a 40-hour package at 1,800 THB per hour, totaling 72,000 THB paid
upfront, with 7 months of school ED Visa support included. We do not offer Chinese one-to-one. A particular day, night
time or weekend time is not guaranteed and must be confirmed with our team. Government visa fees are separate, and a
visa is not guaranteed.
Can I choose another time slot, or mix class times?
Yes, within your own language. You can join any time slot of any level of the language you enrolled in on the class
schedule, and you can mix those slots, for example a morning class one day and an afternoon class another day. You
cannot join classes of another language. There is no minimum number of hours per week, but we recommend attending at
least 80% of your classes so that your studies are not questioned.
Can I add private lessons to my group course?
Private lessons are not available as an add-on to a group ED Visa course. They are a separate 40-hour package that you
book and pay upfront, then take in 2-hour sessions. Thai 1-to-1 is 1,400 THB per hour, 56,000 THB, with 8 months of ED
Visa support. English 1-to-1 is 1,800 THB per hour, 72,000 THB, with 7 months of ED Visa support. We do not offer
Chinese private lessons.
Can I request a group class that is not on the published timetable?
No. Our regular group classes are only the ones shown on the current class schedule. If a requested language, level,
day, time or online format is not listed, we do not currently offer that group class. Office hours do not mean a class
is available at that time. We teach Thai, Chinese (Mandarin) and English. We do not offer regular weekend group classes.
The group timetable checked on 25 September 2026 has these options, all in Bangkok local time. Thai beginner speaking:
Monday and Wednesday 10:00 to 12:00, Monday and Wednesday 13:00 to 15:00, or Tuesday and Thursday 13:00 to 15:00 in
person, or Monday and Wednesday 18:00 to 20:00 online. Thai intermediate speaking: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 to 12:00.
Thai advanced speaking: Monday and Wednesday 13:00 to 15:00. Thai beginner writing: Tuesday and Thursday 15:00 to 16:00.
Thai intermediate writing: Monday 15:00 to 17:00. Thai beginner reading: Wednesday 15:00 to 17:00. Thai orientation:
Tuesday 16:00 to 17:00.
Chinese beginner level: Monday to Thursday 10:00 to 12:00. Chinese intermediate level: Monday and Tuesday 13:00
to 15:00. Chinese advanced level: Wednesday and Thursday 13:00 to 15:00. English beginner level: Tuesday to Friday 10:00
to 12:00. English intermediate level: Tuesday to Friday 13:00 to 15:00. English advanced level: Tuesday to Friday 15:00
to 17:00. These Chinese and English groups are in person only, not remote or on Zoom. The only online group is Thai
beginner speaking on Monday and Wednesday 18:00 to 20:00.
Thai and English one-to-one packages are separate from the group timetable. Ask us to check teacher availability for
those packages. A particular time is not guaranteed. We do not offer Chinese one-to-one.
Can I enroll for 2 weeks, 1 month or 6 weeks?
No. We do not offer a 2-week, 1-month, 6-week, 2-month or other custom-duration course package, with or without ED Visa
support. Our published group ED Visa packages are Thai for 8 or 14 months, English for 7.5 or 12 months, and Chinese
for 4, 8 or 12 months. Thai and English one-to-one lessons are separate 40-hour packages, not 2-month packages. Group
classes follow the fixed recurring timetable at https://bkklanguageschool.com/class-schedule/. Tell us which language
you want to study and whether you need ED Visa support, and we can point you to the relevant published package and
enrollment steps.
Will I learn to read and write Thai, or only speak it? What language is instruction given in?
The curriculum covers reading, writing, speaking and listening in the language you study. Our courses are taught in
English. Progress depends on attendance, practice and effort.
What learning progress can I realistically expect?
We provide the lessons, learning materials, platform and resources. Your progress depends on how regularly you attend,
complete homework and practice outside class, so we cannot guarantee a specific level by a fixed date.
Can students bring their own notebook to class?
Yes, students may bring their own notebook to class. It is optional.
Will I receive a certificate or a recognized proficiency level (e.g., CEFR) when I finish?
You receive Bangkok Language School's own certificate of completion. It is not a CEFR, IELTS or other external
qualification and is not issued by another institution. You may use it as evidence of study, but acceptance for
employment or another purpose is decided by the organization receiving it.
Are there school holidays, and what happens if a holiday falls on my class day?
If the school closes for a public holiday, that class is skipped and the timetable continues with the next scheduled
class. There is no replacement or makeup class.
Is the school closed for New Year and Songkran?
Yes. The school is closed at New Year and Songkran. If a class falls on a closed day, it is skipped and there is no
replacement class.
What if I need to cancel a class, get a makeup session, or switch my class time?
There are no individual makeup lessons for missed classes. If you will miss a class, tell the school before the class.
Levels run concurrently, and enrolled students can join any level they feel ready for. Missing a class does not pause
the timetable or extend the course.
