Pricing and payment
Do you offer group, early-enrollment or advance-payment discounts?
No. Our published course prices are fixed. We do not offer discounts based on group size, including 2, 5 or 10 people, early enrollment, or paying in advance.
Can I pay in monthly installments?
No, payment is required upfront in full.
Do I have to pay before the school submits my application?
Yes. The full course fee is paid upfront before we submit your application to the Ministry of Education. Our refund policy explains what happens if the application is rejected.
Do you offer study-only rates if I already have permission to stay and do not need ED visa support?
We do not handle enrollment without an ED Visa, because our team only handles ED Visa students. Please contact our other department and tell them which language you want to study and that you do not need an ED Visa. They will give you the price. We do not offer short-term courses lasting 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 weeks or 2 months.
What payment methods do you accept?
We do not accept Apple Pay or PayPal. If you apply in Thailand, you can pay by credit or debit card at the school. If you apply from outside Thailand, payment is by international bank transfer, and you can send it through Wise or Revolut. If Wise or Revolut does not work in your country, send a normal international bank transfer from your own bank. There is no card surcharge. We issue an invoice and an official receipt.
Who do I pay, and why is the name different from Bangkok Language School?
Payment goes to Knowledge Lake Rajada Language School. This is the correct name for your payment, and you will see it on the bank details.
I plan to start next year. Can I apply now, and what will it cost?
Yes, you can apply ahead. The application usually takes about 2 months, sometimes about 1 month. If you apply from abroad, once your ED Visa is issued you have up to 90 days to enter Thailand. We can share our current prices now.
Can I pay in cash?
Yes. You can pay in cash at the school. You can also pay by credit or debit card in Thailand, or by international bank transfer from abroad, which you can send through Wise or Revolut. We do not accept Apple Pay or PayPal.
Can I pay or get prices in USD?
No. All our prices and payments are in Thai baht (THB).
Can I pay with USDT or other crypto?
No. We do not accept USDT or any other cryptocurrency. You can pay by credit or debit card or by bank transfer.
Can I split the payment across 2 cards?
Yes. If you pay at the school, you can split the payment across 2 cards. There is no card surcharge.
What does the course fee cover, and what's charged separately?
The package includes the selected language course and the school's Education Visa document support. Textbooks are purchased separately. The school charges a 1,000 THB document scanning fee only if you apply for your ED Visa at a Thai embassy or consulate in another country. Visa application fees, immigration extension fees and re-entry permits are also separate and are paid directly to the relevant authority. How much do textbooks cost, and how many do I need?
Textbooks are purchased separately and cost 750 to 1,000 THB per level. You need 1 textbook per level.
What other fees should I budget for?
The fees depend on your route and whether you travel.
If you apply in Thailand, you pay the initial Immigration ED Visa application fee of 2,000 THB. After your ED Visa is approved, each ED Visa extension, every 60 to 90 days, costs 1,900 THB. If you do not leave Thailand during your course, there are no travel fees.
If you apply at a Thai embassy abroad, the school charges a 1,000 THB document scanning fee, and you pay the embassy's visa fee.
If your course is longer than 8 months, you leave Thailand after month 8 and come back for the 2nd period of your ED Visa. Immigration then charges a 2,000 THB fee for the stamp for the 2nd period, even if you first applied at a Thai embassy. After that, each ED Visa extension, every 60 to 90 days, still costs 1,900 THB. You do not pay the school again.
Textbooks cost 750 to 1,000 THB per level. Passport photos cost 120 THB if the school takes them for you.
If you travel outside Thailand during the first 8 months of your ED Visa, you need a re-entry permit, 1,000 THB for a single permit or 3,800 THB for a multiple permit.
If you leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, your ED Visa is cancelled. Reinstating it needs new Ministry of Education paperwork and a reinstatement fee of at least 5,000 THB.

How much should I budget in total?
Your total cost is the course fee plus textbooks at 750 to 1,000 THB per level and 120 THB for passport photos. If you apply in Thailand, add the initial Immigration ED Visa application fee of 2,000 THB. After approval, each ED Visa extension, every 60 to 90 days, costs 1,900 THB, on either route. If you apply at a Thai embassy abroad, there is a 1,000 THB document scanning fee and the embassy visa fee instead of the initial Immigration ED Visa application fee. If your course is longer than 8 months, you also pay a 2,000 THB Immigration fee for the stamp for the 2nd period, on either route. For someone who applies in Thailand, Immigration fees come to an estimated 3,900 THB for Chinese 4 months, 5,800 to 7,700 THB for English 7.5 months or an 8-month course, 9,700 to 11,600 THB for a 12-month course, and 9,700 to 13,500 THB for Thai 14 months. These totals do not include a 30-day extension of your Tourist Visa (TR-60) stay or any re-entry permit. These are government fees, the same for ED Visa students at any school. How much do the English, Thai, and Chinese courses cost?

Thai: 36,000 THB for 8 months, or 47,500 THB for 14 months
English: 45,500 THB for 7.5 months, or 58,000 THB for 12 months
Chinese: 24,500 THB for 4 months, 44,000 THB for 8 months, or 57,000 THB for 12 months

Which course is best for me?
It depends on how long you want to stay in Thailand. Chinese 4 months is our shortest and lowest priced ED Visa package. For a longer stay, choose Thai 8 or 14 months, English 7.5 or 12 months, or Chinese 8 or 12 months. Tell us how long you plan to stay and which language interests you, and we will recommend a package.
Do you teach other languages or subjects?
No. We only teach Thai, Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
