Refunds, Withdrawal and School Documents

Review the ED Visa refund policy, withdrawal procedure and school documents available for other applications. Stage 1: Ministry of Education review What happens if the Ministry of Education rejects my application? If the Ministry of Education rejects the application after we submit it, the school refunds the package fee less 10,000 THB for registration, administration and processing. Stage 2: Embassy, consulate or immigration application What happens if an embassy, consulate or immigration office rejects my application after Ministry approval? After the Ministry of Education approves the application, the next decision belongs to the Thai embassy, consulate or immigration office handling the visa or permission-to-stay application. There is no refund if that authority rejects the application after Ministry approval. Why approval can still be refused Ministry of Education approval confirms permission to study. It does not guarantee permission to enter or remain in Thailand. The responsible authority may consider: - The embassy or consulate selected and whether it has jurisdiction over the applicant. - The applicant's criminal, immigration, overstay, blacklist, border-entry and previous visa history. - Repeated tourist entries or tourist visa applications. - Current diplomatic, regulatory or security conditions affecting the applicant's nationality or application location. - Any additional documents or interview requested by the authority. Students should follow the school's application-location guidance, review the responsible embassy's current requirements and provide complete, accurate information before applying. Voluntary withdrawal How do I withdraw, and does the school cancel my visa? Tell the school before you withdraw or stop attending. The school will cancel your ED Visa. Course fees are not refunded when a student chooses to withdraw. School documents Can the school provide a residence certificate for a bank account or driver's licence? The school does not issue a residence certificate. We can provide a Certificate of Study or supporting school document on request, but the bank or Department of Land Transport decides whether to accept it. Approval is increasingly difficult under stricter bank requirements, and we cannot guarantee the outcome.
